Give The Youth A Chance, Cos With This Current Trend, Someday “An Engineer Will Become Our Minister For Health.”

So finally our 2016 budget has been approved, hope the change we voted for will now be a reality.
But meanwhile I want to talk about the delay in signing it.

So many gist/gossip went round on social media, the media, and even by persons/bodies. But it was stated that Mr Buhari delayed signing the budget after finding errors in the spending programmes. He claimed some lawmakers removed and replaced spending proposals.

The N6.06 trillion 2016 budget was signed on Friday, ending weeks of disagreement with the National Assembly.

The National Assembly passed the budget on March 23, but the president withheld his assent and returned the document.

The Presidency said the lawmakers added new projects and removed critical items proposed by the administration.

The two arms reconciled controversial figures, and transmitted a clean copy of the budget to the president on Thursday, which he signed.

The budget was also delayed at first because it was erroneous, but why? That is what happens when a lawyer is our Minister for works and power, that’s what happens when our minister for transport is actually not experience in transportation.

This is a trend killing our economy slowly. How would NIGERIA grow when people that have no idea of a particular field are the ones heading it?

If experienced and competent ministers were appointed then;
  1. There would not have been so many errors in the budget.
  2. The senators would have had no reason to make changes in it.
  3. Finally, the budget would not have taken this long to be approved and signed.

When Buhari said change, we all thought he will put everything in the right place. Instead of sourcing for competent hands/experts in particular fields to head these ministries he decided to appoint people that are in his party. People that are old. Where are the youths? What happened to them? They may say the youths are not competent, how will they know? Have they given us a chance? Back then when they ruled us, during the military regime, they were all youths, some in their twenty's. I say the youths should be given a chance to show their worth.

It was also reported that one of our ministries duplicated word for word, figure for figure its budget proposal from the one the past administration made.

It’s so painful to see our money being wasted, paying incompetent hands, especially when millions of young minds are languishing out there.

Delays in approving the expansionary budget added to our economic problems of slow growth and high inflation. All these would have been avoided if only experienced and experts in particulars fields were actually appointed or involved in the budget preparations.

When we look at the1st world countries we wish to be like them. But they didn’t get there by being soft, greedy or lazy; they got there by doing the right things. Appointing people that are experience, hardworking, ready to sacrifice and trustworthy.

If we want Nigeria to grow, then it’s high time we do what is right and best for our country.

  • We need competent and dedicated people leading us.
  • We need expert/experience people leading the various ministries.
  • We have had enough with the old minds there; We need young intelligent and hardworking minds.

We the masses should not even come first, they should put NIGERIA first. They should love NIGERIA.

Buhari should not make the same mistake Jonathan made; He should be wiser and surround himself with young, competent and dedicated people. He should put the needs of Nigeria first and not his supporters/party.

We voted change!!!

We want change!!!

Give the youths a chance!!!

Do what is best and right for us now!!!

Change this trend, because someday in the near future “an engineer will become our minister for health.”

THE REAL NIGERIA!!!
