Our Police Justice Decisions Can Always Be Swayed....

The uproar caused by the abducted but now found Ese Oruru is so unbecoming.

To me it only shows how backwards we are in thinking and how incompetent our police justice system is.

The girl; a christian, is said to have been kidnapped by her Muslim lover. The lover; Yunusa aka Yellow, who had been a help of her father for over 10years.

Yellow's father Dahiru Bala, 55yrs made a statement saying:

“There was no marriage between my son and Ese Oruru due to contradiction and illegality involved."

“The love relationship between my son and Ese was built on ignorance of their religious backgrounds which made it difficult for anyone to support their marriage proposal.”

He further disclosed that traditional authorities were fully briefed about an impending illegality when his son, Yunusa, who he said was 25yrs, informed him of his decision to elope with his lover. “I promptly reported the matter to the village head and on their arrival, they were taken to his home, who in turn reported to the District Head at Kura, headquarters of Kura local government area.

“Sequel to the request of Ese, she was converted to Islam on the order of the District Head before he was taken to the Emir’s palace for his final say.”

According to Yunusa’s father, “the much anticipated return of Ese Oruru to Bayelsa was truncated by her when she broke down in the AIG’s office and raised safety questions to her life back home. Subsequently, the move was halted to pave way for investigation”.

She has been returned home safely, and after medical examinations is said to be 5 months pregnant.

The issue now is that everyone is asking for the head of Yunusa. When no adequate investigation have been carried out.

For ones, our police should be left to investigate, and not be swayed in their findings through influence, power and money.

Have they thought about it this way; The girl, though a minor was truly in love and was the one who came up with the plan to elope?
Recall, It was also stated that she broke down and raised questions about the safety of her life back home in Bayelsa.

So why should learned minds be so stupid to act and say things as a result of what they feel?
I once read a book 'What Ever You Think, Think The Opposite'.

Enough with the conclusions on matters. Everyone is 'Innocent until proven guilty'.

Until when the investigations are over and the findings reported, then we can start crucifying people.

On the other hand, I won't blame them for their uproar. You know why? Cos 'Our police justice system is a corrupt one'.

No one trusts their decisions. Especially when wealthy and influential people are involved.

Our police justice decisions always sway/change with money, power and influence.
